This turned out a little more analytically and a little less ranty than I originally planned. Just going to preface this by saying, that everything I say is based on my own personal experience…
To start, I feel the need to put everything in context. Now, I don’t know numbers and statistics and I’m basing this on my own “eye test” if you will. So to start, I’ll ask you as the reader to think about Asian representation in the media. The easiest is to think of all Asian characters in books/movies/television shows. Take a moment and think about it. Like really think.

Sleeping Warrior Day 4: Warrior Aurora and Princess Mulan
*insert ranting of what a bitch their clothes to draw here*Mulan was a princess of Land in The West who could trust no one in the palace due to everyone always trying to take her throne. the only company she had was the little blue bird who always visited her everyday after she saved him from the palace cat. but since the winter was coming, the bird need to go to warmer land in the west. after saying his goodbye, the blue bird went his way.
even as he went his way, he had made a silence promise to the kind princess that he will return to her. everyday he sang about her kindness and beauty. one day a very beautiful knight named Aurora heard his singing. she asked him who was the princess he sang about. the blue bird told him everything he knows about the princess and the trouble she had. the knight made it her mission to protect the princess and made her way to the Land in The West.
